It is my great honor to stand here to make a brief introduction of myself. I have graduated from college for one year, but the life in college is very important for me. During my university, I chose English as my major, I prepared for the English teachers’ test and got high-grade teacher credential, as a college student, I focus on studying professional knowledge and modern teaching methods. After graduation, I worked in a school as a cadet teacher, I learned a lot here and cumulative experiences. I realized that teacher is my ideal profession, I love children and English, it is very lucky to combine the profession and interesting. In my opinion, a good teacher should have three abilities: be able to teach, can use proper methods and teach with all heart.

Firstly, a teacher should be able to teach. Teachers have the responsibility of transmitting knowledge to the next generation, it requires teachers should have profound specialized knowledge.

Secondly, a teacher can use proper methods in his teaching. According to the New Curriculum Standard, students should be the center of the whole class, so teacher should use different and proper methods, such as communicative teaching method, task-based teaching method, so that students can be the real host of the class.

Last but not least, a teacher should teach with all heart. It requires teachers should have the sense of responsibility. As the famous saying of Mr. Tao Xingzhi “One comes with warm heart but leaves with nothing.” Therefore, teachers should be selfless and teach all their knowledge to the students.

If I have the opportunity to be a teacher, I will follow the three aspects and apply them into practice.
